Pull the rabbit out of your hat
Thursday, June 15th, 2006I read that Tokyo Drift’s out today according to cinemaonline. Haven’t checked the papers
I watched a couple of tv shows in a row last night, which is something I haven’t done in ages. David E. Kelley. I love his shows. He’s the creator of Boston Legal which shows on Star World replacing Grey’s Anatomy from 9pm - 10pm on Wednesdays. David E Kelley on TV series created The Practice, The Law Firm, Victims’ Rights, L.A. Law, Ally Mcbeal, Boston Public, Chicago Hope, wrote for Legal Deficits and many more.
Last night was the first episode of Boston Legal and I’ve learnt that in Boston, under statute Specific Performance cannot be relied on the grounds of descrimination. Remember the girl who played Victoria from the show Miss Match? She now plays the role of an attorney herself in Boston Legal. She was the bar tender, friend of Kate Fox’s who’d help her host parties to match make customers at that same bar. LOL, and there’s that actor.. hmm, towards the end of The Practice produced also by David E. Kelley there was this actor whose sur name’s Spader. I don’t remember his first name. He was the attorney who played his cards very differently among his colleagues, well known for his tactics. They then changed his name in Boston Legal to Alan Shore who again has his own ways around, the most sarcastic and egoistic attorney of the show. That’s the kind of arrogance that most would admire
There was this scene where two of his colleagues who were arguing over their own duties concerning their status at the firm and he happened to be eaves dropping. Suddenly he remarked,"So, you guys have slept together." LOL!!! Really now, how can you tell. Anyone got a clue on such skill? Anyway, those were the words that made both of his colleagues pause, finish their last few words and ciao. That was good. HaHA.
Very interesting as it already sounds. What’s more is that the wife of a patron customer of that firm was having an affair with the top attorney of Boston who owns that firm, known as Denny Craine. Denny Craine was having an affair with his bestfriend’s wife. He was almost shot with the gun that he gave his buddy a long time ago ( his buddy’s coming to 70 I guess, forgotten that it’s a starter’s gun sort). "Pull the rabbit out of your hat.", said Denny to his employee Alan. An advice he gave after Alan mentioned that he’s in a bet with Michael (another employee whose post ranks higher than Alan). Making the rabbit appear is a ‘last straw’ technique praticed in court and in life to succeed.
My favorite Desperate Housewife would be Marcia Cross who plays Bree. Yeah, the one with OCD(Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). Ms Perfect. Speaking of OCD, I caught 55 mins of Oprah. Adding what is the Tourette Syndrome and the ‘ congenital insensitivity to pain’ (like a derailed train, the nerves that carry pain signals from the surface of the body to the brain never arrive). The Tourette Syndrome is a disorder which affects human reflexes, not allowing control and manifests by form of tics. Tourettes can also cause OCD. Patients of this disorder react by various different individual ways such as tics like constant shaking of the head, shouting, grinning, having a fit…" while carrying out their daily norms. It’s an inborn disorder that ‘nags’ until one to obey its urges. As for the other congenial insensitivity to pain, a rare condition suffered by over 30 over citizens of America. Parents of a young girl told their story on how difficult it was to raise their daughter who poked then blinded one of her own eyes as a toddler, who nearly chewed off her own fingers, broke her jaw and found out only about a month later and often scalded her hands after touching light bulbs.
Scary yet sad.
